Dekkho, the streaming video service specializing in the delivery of premium content in India, has selected Brightcove for the empowerment of its OTT service. The news was announced by the provider of cloud services for video, Brightcove.
The online video platform provides users with a high-quality and customized video experience with video content which may last from three to forty-five minutes. This collaboration will provide support to Dekkho to serve its audience with VOD access. Up to 12000 hours of programming will be available through their desktop and mobile applications.
Vinay Pillai, co-founder of dekkho, commented: “We need to deliver our content across a broad range of customers, from those with low-end phones and slow internet connections to people with high-end mobile devices and larger screens”.
At the other end, Tomer Azenkot, vice president, Asia, at Brightcove, said: “Dekkho is yet another great example of the rise of OTT in India. They’ve managed to quickly launch an intuitive and unique experience, and we’re looking forward to being part of their success”.
