Bidders who have been successful for the recent Doordarshan prime time slots, will be telecasting their programming in the month of February next year. The deadline for bids for new content acquisition scheme by Doordarshan for its prime-time is on November 25 this year and will be opened the same day. On December 9, 2016, the final list of qualified bidders will be revealed.
A non-refundable tender document fee of 5000 INR (72.8 USD) will need to be submitted by bidders, alongside a processing fee of 25000 INR (364 USD). Bidders have the option of applying for one or more slots with an earnest money deposit (EMD) of 300000 INR (4367.8 USD) for each weekday slot. Weekend slot will be 600000 INR (8735.5 USD).
Programmes should have a balanced content composition on the channel. This will include the formats, genres and themes. Telecast fee will not undergo any increase for a period of one year from the start of the contract. However telecast fee will be levelled up by 5% of the then existing telecast fee after one year and in the event of any further extension after two years the telecast fee will be elevated by 10% of the then existing telecast fee.
Production house should be of Indian entity and registered under the respective applicable laws and in existence for the previous 3 financial years. DD reserves the right to preview all the programmes before telecast. Programmes already telecasted on any Doordarshan channel or any private channel will not be accepted. DD successful bidder will proffer fresh programmes for telecast on assigned slot of DD National network.
