The sports OTT DAZN announced it has acquired the rights to broadcast Libertadores and South American Cup in Spain. The platform is adding more events to broadcast in the European country, where it has already added the Recopa Cup, and it is broadcasting  the Copa America matches at present.

The Copa América is joined to the Gold Cup, the National Teams competition organized by the North, Central America and the Caribbean Football Confederation (CONCACAF). As detailed, the agreement for the Libertadores and South American Cup’s broadcasting rights matches will be valid for the 2019-2022 period, and will begin from the Libertadores Cup’s Eighth Finals, during this month.

‘These are the best three competitions at teams level in South America, and they allow us to further grow our catalog and, especially, the football offer, which is essential for us’ said Verónica Diquattro, Executive Vice President at DAZN in Spain, where the platform was launched this year together with Brazil, about the agreement to broadcast the South American sports competitions. In addition, DAZN broadcasts other tournaments in Spain, such as the Premier League, the MotoGP and the Euroleague.
