Corpus, the technology company in India, has partnered with Jiuzhou, a Chinese supplier of digital set-top box (STB) and broadband network products. Used by many different operators in India, Jiuzhou will provide Corpus with a STB solution which is pre-integrated with value added services (VAS).
This new development will allow operators to monetise their digital investments. They will thus achieve a more rapid Return On Investment (ROI) and will be more profitable to them. MPEG4 Standard definition and High definition version with ABV and NSTV Conditional access systems, will be accessible to the solution.
STBs integrated with the VAS is of great advantage to its users. Cable TV multi-system operators will have their per subscriber valuation increased with the revenue generation potential on each STB deployed. Among the applications who are bundled with the STB are Adnet, Horoscope, Darshan, LifeStyle, Cooking, Box Office, TV Anywhere, and Real Estate.
Sachin Tummala CEO of Corpus Software Pvt. Ltd, commented: “We are happy to be the trusted partner of Jiuzhou by delivering the right customer experience. This partnership indeed proves fruitful in helping it expand the strategy for Indian MSOs both in terms of operations and delivering value to their subscribers”.
Huangwei, General Manager of STB Business Unit of Jiuzhou, added: “Corpus is a forward-looking company capable of providing suitable and reliable solutions to blend with JIUZHOU products. As JIUZHOU localization plan goes deeper, we believe our mutual-beneficial partnership with Corpus can be stepped to a higher level”.
