The OTT Chivas TV from Mexico made its first transmission to reveal the prices for its streaming plans. The annual subscription costs USD 144 and allows access to 17 league games, 2 playoff tournaments, all Cup matches and VOD content.
In addition, the service offers a six-month plan (Apertura 2016) for USD81.6. As a promotion, from July 2 to July 14 special prices of USD 105 and USD 52.6, respectively, will be offered to subscribers.
Pay-per-view prices (for single matches) go from USD 6.6 to USD 17.1. However, the national Derby against América costs USD 26.3. The service will be operational on July 15, when the 2016 Apertura Tournament starts. The platform is not available in the US.
Chivas TV streaming plans were presented by José Luis Higuera Barberi, CEO of Grupo Chivas Omnilife. The launch of the OTT service was announced last May.
