The company Plural Comunicaciones -composed by CM &, NTC, RTI and HMTV1- took over the operation of Colombia’s Canal Uno on May 1.
Last November, the National Television Board ceded the concession rights. According to Plural Comunicaciones, for the moment there will be no big changes. The new programming will be ready in the second half of the year.
“The production base will be mostly national since the company has committed to broadcast more than 80% of the content in prime time with Colombian productions,” said the company.
In January 2017, the Plural Comunicaciones signed the concession contract to assume responsibility for using and exploiting the spaces of the national public television channel for a term of 10 years. The company had submitted an offer of CO$ 107.5 billion (USD 36.5 million) during the auction process.
