Vivendi Sports is pushing its pawns in Africa. After a cycling race homologated by the Union Cycliste Internationale in Cameroon, the entity of the Group in charge of the conception and the realization of sporting events organizes the World Championship IBO (International Boxing Organization) of light weights, in collaboration with Malamine Koné Event, at the CanalOlympia Téranga of Dakar in Senegal this Saturday, October 20th.
This big international boxing gala will gather boxers Senegalese, French, Congolese, South Africa, Belorussian, Cameroonian, Algerian, Nigerian and Tunisian. It marks the return of international boxing in Africa. An evening that promises to be exceptional! Already, the name, “JAB & VIBES”, makes us vibrate!
Six fights are announced. The flagship assault will feature the two best French lightweights for the IBO World Title: Mohammed Mimoune, former European welterweight champion and holder of the IBO belt since January, and Franck Petitjean, challenger for the European title super light weights. Fights for the African Heavyweight Boxing Association (ABU) African Championship, the ABU African Lightweight Championship, and among the great hopes of French boxing in the super middleweight category are also announced.
This first edition of “JAB & VIBES” combines various Vivendi entities – Vivendi Sports’ clearly stated desire to multiply transversalities. The boxing event will be accompanied by the performances of Nix, Kiff No Beat and Sidiki Diabaté, artists signed in the labels of Universal Music Group. And it can be watched live on the Canal + Group sports channels on the African continent and in France.
