Brazilian pay TV launched Black Friday offers

The pay TV market in Brazil offered promotions and discounts during the Black Friday. The country’s largest TV programmer Globosat and operators Net, Claro, Sky and Oi are participating of this initiative.
Globosat launched promotions with its OTT platforms Premiere (soccer) and Combat (fights). The new subscribers will have two free months for the first service, and a free month for the second one, if they subscribed before November 23. After this period the service will start to be charged, although if the client cancels it beforehand, there will be no charge to pay.
For its part, Cable TV operator Net (América Móvil) and DTH service Sky (AT&T) launched similar discounts. In their respective VOD and a la carte platforms, they are offering some movies with discounts close to 50%. In addition, Net offered its triple play packages (TV, Internet and telephony) with a 50% bonus during the first twelve months.
Claro (América Móvil) decided to give Telecine’s premium channels for eight months to new subscribers of almost all its plans (except the basic one) and added new Internet and mobile telephony promotions.
In the case of Oi, the company offered benefits in mobile telephony, as well as three free months of Netflix for fixed internet customers with over 100MB.
