Premium on-demand video service based in India, BoxTV, which belongs to the Times Group has launched new subscription plans for its viewers to make payment easier. It has also integrated mobile payments into its platform.
Currently the subscription plans include a three day weekend pack, to weekly packs, fortnightly packs as well as yearly packs. BoxTv business head, Pandurang Nayak said, “Since inception, we received several requests from our users to provide multiple plans and payment options and that is exactly what we have introduced. With the introduction of new subscription packs BoxTV service will cater to all segments of users looking for suitable service, which provides flexibility in terms of payment and a seamless movie watching experience. The mobile payments will allow users without credit cards to watch premium content on BoxTV thereby increasing our overall user-base.”
The prices for each of the subscription packs start from USD 0.80 for the 3 day package to USD 24 for the yearly plan. BoxTV was launched in 2012 and allows users to view movies, television shows, mostly featuring content from the Indian subcontinent as well as sporting events such as the Indian Premier League.
