Bitel strengthens its Peruvian participation and starts offering TV this year

Bitel (Viettel Telecom), a Vietnamese capitals company, plans to expand itself as telecommunications operator in Peru, where it will start offering TV from this year, according to its General Manager, Phan Hoang Viet.

According to the executive, the first Bitel’s Peruvian step will be to offer internet, to later add TV and telephony. In addition, Hoang Viet stressed that tests have already been carried out in different Peruvian provinces homes, and clarified that Bitel’s purpose is to take services simultaneously to Lima and other cities, but without making the deployment from Peruvian outskirts to the Capital.

He also noted that Bitel, which operates commercially in Peru since 2014, has more than 34,600 fiber optic kilometers in Peru, where the company expects to reach homes this year in 25% districts.
