Benin requires USD 110 mln for digital migration project

West African country, Benin, announced that its needs USD 110 million for its digital migration project. The country plans to pave way for initial operations in the first six months of 2015.

Benin has already started including building capacity, laying infrastructure, launching advocacy work and enacting a DTT policy and legislation.

The country has also created a Digital Dividend Fund- a capital account managed by the Treasury which will be fed by money coming from spectrum and frequencies allocated to broadcasters by the regulator.
