AT&T teams up with Motorola on Moto Mod to cast DirecTV Now

According to Android Authority, AT&T is planning to launch a new smartphone-controlled add-on device – developed together with Motorola – that casts DirecTV Now service to TV.

The Mod, called AT&T Mobile TV Cast, includes a stick that users can plug into any compatible TV set, allowing them to watch DirecTV Now on larger screens. Android Authority report said that it doesn’t require a Wi-Fi network and content will be streamed over LTE, presumably directly to the stick.

Meanwhile, the telecom company recently announced a new promotion in which customers who prepay for two months of DirecTV Now will receive a free Roku Streaming Stick.
