The North American company AT&T announced that its OTT DirecTV Now, which offers linear, live and on demand content, will soon change its name and be rebranded as AT&T TV Now.
‘As we roll out this new experience, current DirecTV Now customers will also see a new name -AT&T TV Now- appear on their screen’, the company officially informed, and alerted that DirecTV Now subscribers will only need to re-accept the terms of service and their streaming will continue as usual, without interruption, using the same username and password.
The change comes together with the launching of the AT&T TV platform, currently in a trial version. ‘Both the AT&T TV and AT&T TV Now experiences will be accessed through the same AT&TV app, either on mobile or the big screen’, the company reported, and added that, in the coming weeks, the AT&T TV app will be available for download across various app stores, and current DirecTV Now customers will see this update automatically on their devices.
DirecTV Now is an AT&T platform, available for customers in the US. In Latin America, the OTT is called DirecTV Go, which was recently launched in new countries in the region, added to Chile and Colombia, where it was already available since last year.
