Mexican animation studio Ánima Estudios and children’s pay TV channel Cartoon Network have teamed up again to launch a second animation content called “Cortos”.
The call for entries is open and will run until April 28. This year’s call will be for short format series (episodes up to three minutes). The content must be focus on humor and comedy and participants must present original and innovative ideas aimed for children 7 to 12, in line with contents of both the channel and the studio.
The winner will be announced on June 5. Project will be selected based on its concepts, design, story, characters and technique. The winner will be rewarded with the production of one of its episodes by Ánima Estudios and a prize in cash, as well as the opportunity to have the project featured on Cartoon Network Latin America’s platforms.
To be part of this initiative, participants may visit the contest’s microsite at Ánima Estudios site, complete the form and upload the project electronically. It is available for participants from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
