AMC Networks has begun a promotion action in Argentina and Mexico through an alliance with social media network Snapchat, as part of their campaign for the second half of the second season of Fear the Walking Dead. According to AMC, this is the first time a TV show has done a campaign through this platform.
Snapchat is a social media network that allows to alter pictures taken by the users with pre determinate templates called filters. For this action a special filter was created inspired by the show, which will be available for free only during August 20. “The filters will allow followers of the show to become walking dead”, the network said.
The second part of this second season of the series is premiering Sunday August 21 worldwide through the AMC channel. There will be eight episodes in total that add to the seven that have already been air earlier this year.
