AMC Networks International – Latin America announced that it has entered into distribution agreements for AMC and Sundance TV channels with Brazilian pay TV operators Nossa TV, QTV and Sumicity, thus expanding the presence of these TV networks in that market.
The DTH Nossa TV is the leading independent operator in Brazil, while QNet and Sumicity, both companies associated to NEOTV group, offer pay TV services in the state of Pananá, in the state of Rio de Janeiro and part of the Mata Mineira area, respectively.
AMC launched in Brazil in 2014 and since then has obtained very good results thanks to productions like “Fear the Walking Dead”, “The Night Manager” and “Halt & Catch Fire”, among others. According to Kantar / IbopeMedia, in the third quarter of 2016 the channel doubled its year-to-year audience in the daytime, in the Brazilian pay-TV universe and increased its target audience of Adults aged 18-49 by +62% in the primetime.
In turn, Sundance TV offers access to content from major festivals and provides independent film productions, documentaries and original programs, among other contents.
