Amazon will open its first office focused on the streaming business outside the US. As reported by Globo Group on its news website, the new headquarters will be located in Rio de Janeiro, where the delivery of all outsourced productions for the company in Brazil will be managed. The new Amazon office in Brazil will also be the basis for the company’s streaming business in South America.
At present, the company has physical operations in San Pablo, where it has a headquarter and two distribution centers. For the new office in Rio de Janeiro, the purpose of the company is to hire local labor, and it is looking for a senior executive in order to become the director of the new office.
From Amazon, they did not pronounced themselves about the opening of the new office. The new headquarter will be the fourth that the company has worldwide, which is added to the streaming content centers in Los Angeles, Seattle and Miami.
