Airtel reinforce its app with ditto TV

Bharti Airtel, the Indian global telecommunications services company in India, has reinforced its app by adding ditto TV which is owned by ZEEL. The OTT service is actually taking on Reliance Jio’s streaming application Jio TV.

Airtel will now, with this agreement, offer more than 100 TV channels live with catch-up options on its OTT platform. No subscription fee will be needed with Airtel’s app. On the other hand, ditto TV is available with a subscription fee of 20 INR (0.30 USD) per month.

It is to be noted that Bharti Airtel has launched a new version of its MyAirtel App, providing users with an ‘Airtel apps’ section having an assortment of apps such as dittoTV, Hike Messenger, Wynk Music, Wynk Movies and Juggernaut, among others, using a single interface.

Harmeen Mehta, the global CIO, director of engineering at Bharti Airtel, said: “As part of our Digital Airtel initiative, we are excited to bring you the new avatar of the MyAirtel App, which now offers a unified interface to the entire suite of our popular mobile apps and several new ones. All these apps have been curated to ensure customers are offered the best of the web, with more exciting apps and partnerships coming in the near future”.
