African Movie Channel rolls out production hub

African Movie Channel (AMC) officialises its progress into the development and production of its own movies and TV Series through its newly created production division, AMC Original Productions – AMCOP. The African film industry is facing wider international recognition and it is important that industry players continue to contribute even more to its expansion, and for wider mainstream audience.

African Movie Channel is already popular for its superb Nollywood movies and captivating content catalogue. With its three channels – African Movie Channel (AMC), AMC Series and Nolly Africa, AMC has enhanced its presence internationally to keep entertaining its viewers with interesting movies, series, talk shows and much more. AMCOP will take the film industry to a whole new level, showing its commitment and passion for excellent African storytelling by home-grown talent.

By the end of 2018, AMC which already collaborates with prominent Nigerian producers will leverage on this with the launch of AMCOP to add not less than 20 exclusively-owned movies added to its library.

The Head of Channels, Yvonne Dublin-Green, declared, “The creation of AMCOP has been a long time coming and is a natural progression for AMC. AMCOP movies will begin to beam every Friday from 7th December exclusively on African Movie Channel.
