Video experience pioneer Accedo and Canada’s Digiflare announced the merger of their operations this week. The merged company will remain under the Accedo brand.
Both companies have grown rapidly in the industry and have helped build immersive video app experiences for hundreds of companies around the world. Following the merger, the company’s CEO will be Michael Lantz, current CEO of Accedo.
“As video trends continue to evolve, our combined capabilities will create greater value for our customers, delivering dynamic, true-native video apps at the forefront of the TV viewing experience on a global, unprecedented scale”, said Mano Kulasingam, co-CEO at Digiflare.
“The two companies have highly-complementary products, a strong market position, and an impressive portfolio of customers and partners, who will directly benefit from our combined video experience solution offering”, commented Michael Lantz.
Accedo was founded in 2004 by Michael Lantz and Fredrik Andersson while Toronto-based Digiflare was founded in 2008 by David George and Mano Kulasingam. Accedo customers include global video service leaders like Netflix, NBC Universal, Spotify, Fox, Disney, Telefonica and HBO, among many others.
